It is a great honour and a privilege to be Editor-in-Chief of such a respected publication, a copy of which has always been on my desk. The online version makes it even simpler for ophthalmologists working in any subspecialty to have access to the latest top-quality research and reviews.
European Ophthalmic Review has gained a reputation for publishing high quality, accessible articles and it will be my aim to ensure that the review is as clear and user-friendly as possible. I am sure it has the potential to become a benchmark in the field and as such to reach more and more ophthalmologists around the world.
To all prospective authors, I would like to encourage you to submit both reviews and original research manuscripts. We offer advice to all authors and for those whose articles are accepted, we will ensure that they reach their target audience. To readers, I hope you find this journal relevant, interesting and attractive to read
European Ophthalmic Review would like to thank our Editorial Board for their continuing support and guidance. A special thanks also goes to our authors, who gave their time and effort to produce an insightful selection of articles. The expert discussions and the range of topics covered ensure there is something of interest for every reader and we hope you find this edition useful.
