PERMISSIONS

touchREVIEWS in Ophthalmology is a peer-reviewed, free-to-access, bi-annual journal specializing in the publication of balanced and comprehensive review articles written by leading authorities to address the most important and salient developments in the ophthalmic field. These reviews aim to break down the high science from ‘data-rich’ primary papers and provide practical advice and opinion. To further encourage discussion and learning, original research articles are welcomed across the clinical landscape, including observational, real-world and health outcomes studies. Editorials, case reports, commentaries and practice pearl articles are also featured.

The journal is of interest to clinicians, healthcare professionals and researchers as it provides practical advice relevant to the everyday clinical setting regarding the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmological conditions. touchREVIEWS in Ophthalmology endeavours to support these professionals in continuously developing their knowledge, effectiveness and productivity.

Peer review

Articles undergo a strict, double-blind peer review, conducted by at least two independent experts in the field.

The publisher will aim to notify authors of the peer review decision through Editorial Manager within 3-4 weeks of submission.

Production

Article proofs are prepared within 2-4 weeks of acceptance. To streamline the production process, the content management system, Kriyadocs, is used to organize the production process, typeset and share the manuscript proofs with authors. All articles are free-to-access for all members of the ophthalmology community. Authors may share their published article with colleagues and peers through social media but are reminded to follow any social media guidelines set by their employers.
