In this interview with Dr David Chang (Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology, University of California, San Francisco, US) he discusses intraocular lens (IOL) complications, including toric IOLs and misalignment. In recent years, there has been a dramatic improvement in digital alignment platforms and Dr Chang discusses his recent head-to-head study in toric IOL surgery using two different monofocal platforms. This is the first toric rotational stability study performed using digital alignment, and allowed the investigators to infer rotation, postoperatively. He also gives us his views on the hot topics at this year’s WOC meeting, including adjustable lenses and astigmatism correction.

Filmed at the 2018 World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC) of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICOPH), June 2018, Barcelona, Spain.
