Unfortunately, there are patients who have an uncomplicated cataract surgery with an actual improvement of their visual acuity, but they are dissatisfied with their final visual capacity. In this touchOPHTHALMOLOGY interview, Prof. Kendall Donaldson (Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, FL, USA) discusses the results of her survey which determines patients’ understanding and expectations of cataract surgery.

The abstract entitled ‘Determining Patient Priorities and Expectations for Cataract Surgery’ was presented at Hawaiian Eye and Retina meeting, 14-20 January 2023.
