Cataract surgery is one of the most commonly performed procedures in the United States. We were delighted to speak with Dr Cynthia Matossian (Matossian Eye Associates, New Hope, PA, USA) to discuss the findings from her national, noninterventional, cross-sectional, mixed methods survey that aimed to identify cataract surgery candidates’ knowledge, beliefs, and emotions as they relate to cataract surgery as well as to their behavioural intent to adhere to a doctor-recommended pre-surgical ocular surface prep routine.
