Posterior capsule rupture is a common intraoperative complication of cataract surgery and may be associated with a poor visual outcome. The consequences of posterior capsule rupture is discussed in this touchOPHTHALMOLOGY interview with Dr Sayena Jabbehdari (University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), Little Rock, AR, USA) as well as what can be done to prevent and manage this issue.
